Background Information

Danger： 
        After the optical module is installed, the optical interface of the naked eye direct view optical module is prohibited to prevent the laser beam from burning the eye.

Note： 

• Take antistatic protection measures before installation, such as wearing an antistatic wrist strap or antistatic gloves.
• During the installation of the optical module, do not touch the golden finger of the optical module directly with your hand.
• Do not insert the optical module with optical fibers directly into the optical port of the device. Install the optical module before installing the optical fiber.
• A dust plug is required on the optical interface that is not used by the device.

      The installation method of the optoelectronic module is basically the same as that of the optical module. The difference is that the optoelectronic module is equipped with a network cable. Here, the installation method of the optical module is illustrated.

Preparation tools and accessories:

·     Anti-static wrist strap or anti-static gloves

·     Dust plug

Steps：

1 . Wear an antistatic wrist strap or antistatic gloves. If you wear an antistatic wrist strap, make sure that one end of the ESD wrist strap is grounded and the other end is in good contact with the wearer's skin.

2 . Pull out the dust plug on the optical interface. Please remove the dust plug after removal for future use.

Install the optical module to the optical interface. Slide the optical module smoothly along the optical interface until it is fully inserted. After the correct installation, the optical module reed will make a “click” sound.

When installing an optical module, if it cannot be fully inserted in one direction, do not force it in. Turn the optical module 180 degrees and reinsert it.

4.Confirm that the optical module is installed in place. Do not open the tab, and use your thumb and forefinger to hold the optical module on both sides of the optical module to see if the optical module can be removed. 

    If the optical module cannot be removed, the optical module is properly installed.

    If the optical module can be removed, the optical module is incorrectly installed. Please reinstall it.

Description： 

After the optical module is installed, if the optical fiber is not connected temporarily, install a dust plug.
